A weekend with no homework, lesson write-ups, assessment data---- What is a girl to do?
First, I had a lovely leisurely breakfast with The Hubs.
Then we were off to the farmer's market. Resident Little Dude couldn't wait to sample the green onions. We were treated to a rendition of Billy Jean and singing pancake making Ninjas. The weather was damp, but the spirit made up for the weather.
We made it to Costco before the crazies showed up. Costco on a Saturday can be brutal, but we were in and out in an hour! I scored a cute summer skirt for $15.
We rounded out the weekend shopping at the Good Food Store. We did NOT beat the crazies, but luckily we had a short list!
I actually had time to bake!!! Shocking! I whipped up a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies. They were a hit. Even I liked them and I'm not keen on raisins.
I think that I need new pans and Silpats.
Resident Little Dude and I scored a jacket at Goodwill for his wax museum character, William Clark, one of the Copper Kings. The jacket will complete the costume with bow tie and top hat. He is working on memorizing his speech. Side note--- people at Goodwill are crazy and rude.
In other news, Resident Teenager had his braces removed and got his retainers fitted. He has been in braces for 2+ years. He is still getting used to the retainers.
The boys are on a end of school countdown--- 14 days!
Resident Little Dude has a sore throat and a slight fever. Gross! I hope that he doesn't have the kid-crap that is making the rounds.
