Snarky Parking

I admit it... I don't like to pay for parking. During the regular semester I take the bus to the U. When summer roles around I usually ride my bike or ride the bus. The tech class that I am in currently starts at 7:30 am and the bus won't work with that time... As for riding, I did ride in the beginning...

So, this morning as every morning this week, I parked in the side parking, which is marked RESERVED. I admit that... I am evil. My rationale? How many University professors work at 7 in the morning in the summer? I never park on campus, so the University owes me. I pay an obscene amount, yes, obscene, to attend this University---- so they owe me parking a few mornings a week.

As you can see, the gig is up!! Getting a note on my car window didn't bother me, yet something about this note bothers me. Does it bother you?

Yep, that says your, as in ownership. It should say you're, as in, you are in my spot and I want to tow you and your car to Hades and beyond!

I should mention that I parked on the side of the Education building.

Where or wear should I park tomorrow?

  1. Just an FYI... a lot of people with reserved spots also pay for parking... if they park in someone else's "reserved spot," they would get towed or ticketed. Although I get why you are annoyed at this, I can see where the person is coming from as well. :) Just a thought...

  2. Not annoyed for being caught in my illegal parking, I realize the "issues" of parking at the University. The misuse of "your" struck me as funny, the fact that the University doesn't routinely tow or ticket parking in the summer struck me as funny, and my observation of more empty parking than occupied struck me as funny.

  3. Wow, now if you were a really obsessive stalker like some people I know, you would bring a lunch and hang out to find out who reserves this parking spot. I sincerely hope it is not a professor of education. maybe you should try parking over by the business school where they make enough money to take summers off.
